American scientists claimed that smokers, who want to give up the cigarettes, should be instructed how to overcome their anger, reported BBC.

Experts reckon, that people, who smoke, feel anger and that the coercion of the emotion could help them renounce this harmful habit.

A team from the University of California, led by John Gericke (?), made a couple of experiments with 20 people and laid down, that the nicotine decreased the agression. Persons, who hadn’t wore nicotine patches, have had more often fits of anger.
The participants in the research should play a computer game, once when wearing a nicotine patch, and another time – patch stepped in placebo. After the end of the game they gain permission to direct an unpleasent noise. They should define exactly its durability and power. When they were not wearing nicotine patches, the participants were more susceptible to react aggressive.
According to scientists, the nicotine impacts on a zone in the brain, which have control over our emotions. People, who want to give up the cigarettes, are more restless and nervous.
The British Health Fund took up with the centres, where smokers will gain aid in order to quit smoking. The therapies will be a combination of therapies for replacement of the nicotine and psychotherapies.
Speaker of the British Ministry of Health has claimed, that it will be discussed the inclusion of courses for the overcome of the anger.
